Recap: I was still locked with no control.

Jessica’s P.O.V

I breathed erringly and I was probably over exhilarating. English class was awfully quiet. Bethany sat beside Blair but didn’t copy down her notes like she usually did. I sat on the other side of Blair paying no attention to the teacher as I just continued to think with unorthodox.

“Jessica – what do you think Dr. Hannibal Lector’s intentions were?” Ms. Adams asked me knowingly.

I looked up abruptly. “Uh…” I started. “His intentions…for…” I ran off my sentence dully. Ms. Adams head went down and she sighed looking up at me. “Hannibal Lector’s intentions in general for being a cannibalistic killer?” Ms. Adams nodded her head. “Well, even though he was a psychiatrist – he definitely had psychological problems in his brain and probably had very intense manic depression – leading to killing people who couldn’t be trusted. But the cannibalism he participated in would probably be a cocky ruling for a ruthless defeat.”

Ms. Adams smiled and agreed, “Yes, Jessica, I think that was Thomas Harris’s meaning for his character.” I did a dull smile back. “A,” she responded with my grade. When I get this depressed it probably wasn’t abnormal for me to be getting good grades.

The bell rang. I got up from my desk quickly grabbing my binder and books. “Jessica,” Blair spoke quietly. I looked at her with a dumbfounded expression. “That was a good statement.” Before I could reply she seeped out of the classroom quickly with Bethany following behind.

I was laying down in my large bed pacing my fingers down the frame…I hated thinking this much. All of this drama got too much inside my head. I didn’t like the feeling of repeating what I seen.

But the trial was tomorrow. I loved Claire she was one of my best friends. Even though I didn’t agree all of the times of her harsh matters…she was still good inside. She was even changing when she met Spencer. She was changing a lot! I couldn’t understand what happened clearly. But Claire did hold Blair and me to gunpoint. That was a cold, hard fact. That was the most upsetting thing I have ever witnessed in my life. I played her words over and over in my head.

You know what you did.

Why would Claire ever want to kill me and Blair? We were her best friends. We had never – BLAIR?! She must have done something to her! Tell her lies about something I’ve said – she – it was her fault.

My feet sprung from the bed walking myself away from my room, down the stairs, out of the front door – my feet were stumbling forwards. It was all Blair’s fault! I found myself at Blair’s front porch. This was all her fault, this was all her fault, this was all her fault, I kept thinking intensely.

“Oh hello Ms. White,” Butler De Jana answered the door quietly bowing. “Are you looking for Mademoiselle Vaness?” I nodded my head calming down a bit. “Oh she just went to a bookstore with Butler Randolph. Would you like to wait in the living area for her?” I nodded my head and followed her through to Blair’s living room. “May, I get you anything to drink? Black coffee, perhaps?”

I shook my head and replied, “No thank you, De Jana, I only intend to talk to Blair for a little bit. It wouldn’t be proper to have coffee when I’m leaving so soon.” She bowed nodding her head and leaving me alone. “De Jana,” I addressed. She turned around and bowed again. “Since when does Blair read books?” I started to find it odd that she would be going to a bookstore…with her Randolph.

“Oh yes,” De Jana looked down and answered, “She has been acting quite differently lately. It is probably Gerard’s impact on things. Haven’t you noticed she’s become nicer and more pleasant to be around?”

“You know what? I’m going to be going now. The matters have been resolved.” I smiled walking out through the front door.

Change of impact? Yeah, right!

Hayley’s Williams P.O.V

“You realize it has only been three months since we’ve known Miss Hayley Williams?” Alice smirked. Zac nodded his head in agreement. “So she might be a killer? I mean she’s already done all these drugs and what not?”

I gave her a dizzy look. What was she trying to do to me? “Alice,” Zac persisted.

“What? Seriously, I mean her parents probably know about it too and do nothing about it.”

“I think I’ve been closer to being killed then to be killing someone else,” I disclosed with a strong impulse.

Alice sighed loudly. “Are we supposed to give you sympathy for that? You already have your whole family, don’t get greedy!”

“What do you mean?”

She rolled her eyes. Zac interfered, “Don’t mind her. She’s just becoming a little more hostile now that December is coming up and basketball tryouts are soon. Hey, Hayley! You should try out for the girl’s basketball team. You and Alice could be together all the time!”

“Who said anything about Hayley even into sports? She only likes drugs, remember?” Her words deepened into harsher words.

Zac grabbed her wrist and whispered something I couldn’t make out. I started, “Alice is right. I don’t like sports very much. But I am an excellent dancer. You know ballroom dancing? Alice, I could try teach you because you were quite uncoordinated at last Friday’s debutante rehearsal. You do realize the cotillion is tomorrow? Oh I forgot you have no one to go with!” I smirked.

“Hayley, that’s mean,” Zac spoke.

“Yes, I should be gentler to those who have never even been kissed.” I smirked again. I was definitely doing a good job at this.

“Alice, I have an idea! We can dress you up and show you up at the mall then so many boys will be coming to ask you out to the cotillion everything will be definitely splendid!”

Alice rolled her eyes and responded, “Thanks for your intentions but no guy says ‘splendid’ anymore.” She rolled them again.

“No, Alice, Zac’s right we could get Beth’s best friend Blair to dress you up. I mean look at how much she changed her? Maybe a miracle could happen!” I smiled replying rudely.

Zac shook his head. “That wouldn’t be fun! Let’s go buy you a dress, right now!”

“Sure thing,”

Sorry about not posting for a bit. I do update buzznet a lot but I had a huge writer's block. But next chapter will be definitely be better and longer! I'll make sure of it. :D Thanks for that one comment on my last fanfic journal from xkittiesxgoxpewxpewx. I liked it and yes, I'm still writing. NEVER GIVING UP PD - besides, it's only November/almost December in Project Drama and it started in September. It has to be finished to August!

Recap: I love P.E!

"Zac, Josh - captains pick your teams, Josh goes first - six on each team, including yourself." The guy P.E teacher said...I don't know what happened to the girl.

Josh nodded his head picking out his players, "Gerard," he pointed, "Jessica," he winked at her, "Bob and Ray," and then he looked toward me, "Oh and Alice!" I got up going toward Josh's side and he whispered to me, "So glad you're in our gym class now. No offenses but you're really good so you can't go on Zac's team." I nodded and did a weird grin. I was happy to go on Josh's team...Hayley wasn't on mine.

Zac frowned. "Why'd you take Alice? You know she's really good!" Josh smirked and the guy coach rolled his eyes hurrying him up. Zac got the rest of the players (including Hayley) and they rushed to the other side. Zac's team got to serve first.

Amy was serving first and I was up to the front and Hayley was right beside me just on the other side of the volleyball net. I pushed Bob moving him to the other side so I was lined right up with Hayley. I smirked at her and she did the same. I looked over at Zac and he was just smiling at me...awe. Amy served nicely...too nicely it went over me and I bumped into Ray well I was backing up to slam the ball over the net so maybe if I'm lucky it'd go over it banging Hayley hardly in the head. Anyways, Josh ended up bumping it over the net.

Jessica was serving now and she wasn't as good so it was easy to slam over and hit Hayley. I chuckled a somewhat devilish chuckle. "Sorry, Hayles you were just...getting the way you know?" I smirked to myself. Her eyes were squinting and Zac went to ask she was alright but I just laughed to myself. Now Zac went to go serve it. "Back up," I pushed Ray back more. Zac was a good at volleyball...not as good as me, or Josh but good well fairly.

Zac served it very good, I was very, very proud...he looked really - nice well doing it. He did it so sly. A second later I found myself slamming the ball over the net but accidently hitting Katelyn. I came underneath the net apologizing but Pete took it from there. "PENALTY," the judge yelled.

"Focus, Alice..." Josh bugged me. Zac served again and I slammed it over very hard and this time it did slap Hayley's leg making her fall immediately. He gave me a hi-5. "So...you have a beef with Hayley?" Josh smirked widely. I rolled my eyes with a chuckle. Josh is such a loser... "Oh wait a minute I see what's happening," he said as he began to serve the ball as I rotated. "You," he got it ready, "like," he swung it over, "Zac!"

I stopped quickly. "WHAT?"

"Alice look out!" someone screamed I looked over and I could see the big white volleyball coming right in between my eyes. I opened my eyes and all I could see was a vicious Hayley, shocked Josh and an adoringly - no I mean a worried Zac.

Anabelle's P.O.V

"I'm going to be very stupid if we - you stop running," I noted with a half smile - half defense. He rolled his eyes and smiled not taking the 'will-you-ever-stop-running' jocular tone. "I mean even you are skipping a lot of school, doesn't that bother you? What about Gerard and Pete?"

He laughed. "School's old news," he said jokingly. "I do see Gerard and Pete but they seem like they have their hands full at the moment."

"And you're okay with everything that's happened?" I popped out the question I have been dying to ask him. It was so quick I didn't even realize it.

He hesitated and then turned around and continued to make a new macaroni salad. "No," he spoke quietly - it was barely a whisper. I didn't push the subject any further. "You don't eat very much...but you do love to sleep," he smiled.

I rolled my eyes. "That's all you've noticed?" I muttered.

"You brush your teeth on the other side of the toothbrush and then you use the brush to clean off the toothpaste from your teeth afterwards. You hate my driving and shake whenever you realize I'm accelerating 100-200. And we have the same love for Debussy, Morrissey, and The Smiths."

I nodded my head a little overwhelmed. But it helped it me in someway overcome my lost feelings for my friends and parents. Whenever I missed them all I'd have to do was get Joe's smile and the hole in my stomach was filled - overflowing.

"I still need to figure out everything...everything we have to deal with when we get back. Well, basically I just have to deal with...you."

I shook my head and replied, "Then you shouldn't be around kidnapping people." My sentence was half serious and half jocular.

"No, I mean the propinquity between us has to stay because with your hapless character - life at school isn't going to get any better about the whole kidnapping thing. Which I still don't trust you..."

I rolled my eyes and retorted, "Your nescience have been showing greatly in Palm Springs. Maybe you need to take me to New York and we'll get everything settled out."

"Do you want to go?" I shook my head quickly. He was just willing to sacrifice any hope for me? "We can in a heartbeat."

"Joe," I addressed quickly. "No, you need to figure out everything."

He nodded his head pouring the macaroni salad in two big bowls and handed me one. He gulped down it quickly, as I just took my time. "My mom found about the mafia thing with my father..." he started looking downwards. "She is now clinically depressed," his voice was definite. "But I can't take care of her right now. If I do, she'll just get hurt." This was about the first time I have ever saw Joe in this state. It somehow made me feel better.

"How is that?"

Joe answered pushing his macaroni salad aside, "Once she finds out that I was helping him and I kidnapped you...all of this will fly off the roof for her."

"Then...then don't tell her! Just comfort her. Like tell her your father just did it because he wanted his wife and kid to have a flamboyant life." He smiled nodding his head. "As for me," I started to smirk, "tell her I'm your girlfriend."

Joe smiled widely with his eyes widening. "R-Really?" He stumbled. I nodded my head. I did like Joe...I couldn't hide that fact. His face went acute. "But I still don't trust you..."

"Then let's go back to Newport! We can go see your mother." I said happily.

"You're so full of it."

"I can't believe we made it to Newport so fast...you need to learn to drive." I retorted. He rolled his eyes and I could feel the vibration of his hand shaking violently on my sweater. I put my hands over his. He looked at me wide-eyed. "Joe, everything will be alright eventually. We look pretty convincing so I wouldn't worry about it."

"Yes," he agreed opening the door quickly. We quickly met the maid. "Hello, Maid Sherry. Where is Mrs. Trohman?" She looked down and pointed towards the living room. He grabbed my wrist tightly and dragged me there. "M-m-mom...?" I slowly peeked into the living room and saw a beautiful women sitting down with her arms over her knees with black make-up dripping from her eyes and two knives right beside her with little bits of blood trickling down from her wrist. She looked exactly like Joe - just being a woman. Her hair was beautiful chocolate brown and her eyes were dark too. "Mother," he ran over to her lifting up her chin. His mom put her arms over his shoulders hugging him tightly. "Everything's going to be okay, never do this again!" He looked over on the mere table where a large wine bottle stayed smashed. "You can't drink with your anti-depressants!" Joe turned to me summoning me over.

Then we did exactly what we planned and I can't believe it worked so greatly. About two hours later I found myself sitting in Joe's baby room looking at his baby pictures with his mother. Yes, I was officially Joe's 'fake' girlfriend and we lied to her immensely. But I was glad because seeing anyone in that much pain would give you pain. "This was Joe when we first took him to the Amazon Amusement Park. He had so much fun with me and his cousin. Oh if you were with him, darling you two would be the cutest!" I smiled widely.

"I'm happy if he's happy and you too." She grinned happily giving me the biggest hug and a tear fell down from her face.

"I'm glad Joe has found someone so nice. He's always been the one to attract horrible young girls - girls so revealing."

I saw Joe come in through the door. I give him a thumb up...we officially pulled it off. He smiled coming over to us and giving us white tea. "Anabelle's parents are out of town, mother, Leila," he winked at me (Leila was his mother's name).

"Wait!" His mother stood up quickly backing away from the two of us. "Anabelle...is the girl from the news! She was kidnapped along with the Mischa girl who died and the Hayley girl."

I looked at Joe quickly and he gave me a terrified look. My expression was probably looking completely placid right now. We didn't think of this. "Yes!" Joe started. I looked at him confusingly. "That's how we met. I found her in a dark alley way. But she was too scared of facing the Newport News and her parents on her horrible experiments. So I took her to Palm Springs for awhile...and we got to know each other. But then I insisted on going back to Newport."

Leila nodded her head understandingly and then came and hugged me tightly. "I feel so bad for you, going through all that!" I nodded my head and smirking to Joe. "Well, we must all go to her parent's house and explain things. They can talk to the reporters and news people." I smiled to Joe and he looked down madly.

But the truth was...I still wanted to stay with Joe. Of course I missed my home life, parents, Andy, Katie and more friends. But...I would lose Joe...

"It's okay, even when she goes home...she'll still be over, very often and she's still under my watch and she's still my girlfriend." Joe explained putting his arm around my shoulders and tightly keeping me by him.

I was still locked with no control.

Casting Calls (for new fanfiction + I need some ideas).

So I was thinking when Project Drama ended I wouldn't be doing a second season I'd probably just let it go. So I'm going to do a new story (I will still do PD) with new people, basically a whole new storyline!

I'm not sure yet the character names or anything just sign up and I'll pick people (basically everyone who signs up). I don't know if it'll be a fanfiction or not one...I want different bands. Even though I don't like All Time Low people seem to enjoy their fanficts and maybe The Academy Is...? Or just an original fanfiction.

â�œHey, Alice do you know where Gee is?â� She shook her head she seemed in a hurry and I could hear her crying when she got outside talking to somebody. I felt bad about not really caring about Aliceâ�™s feelings but we werenâ�™t that close even though Iâ�™d been living with her about two months. I preferred Mikey because weâ�™d talk about universities/colleges, bands and new TV shows. Alice barely talked to me she was caught up in her own world. â�œMIKEY! WHERE IS GEE?!â� I called up the stairs.

â�œBeth, Iâ�™m busy,â� he said coming down the stairs. â�œYou should try at Blairâ�™s or something. She went to see Emily in Juvie and she was pretty emotional after, trust me I heard her on the phone,â� he stopped drinking out of the milk carton, â�œsorry, Iâ�™m really thirsty and all this homework and college preparing. Itâ�™s a bit disgusting I know, I always got mad when Gee did it.â�

â�œSo, he is at Blairâ�™s?â� I nodded my head almost ignoring everything he said. His expression completely changed almost ticked off. â�œSorry, Mikey justâ�¦yeah, weâ�™ll talk later. When are you going to see the college councilor?â�

â�œOh thanks, soon,â�

â�œSweet, got to go, bye,â� I interjected running out the door with a medium-sized, circular-shaped purse. Blair had taught me well. I got into Saraâ�™s yellow Porsche and drove to Blairâ�™s. Mikey ended up being correct because Geeâ�™s new Chevrolet was in the driveway and Ms. Vanessâ�™.

I knocked on the door slightly and Gee did answer. â�œHey, Bethâ�¦Bethany. Blair is in a bad state right now. Um, a really bad state. Iâ�™ve never seen her cry before, at all. She never cries! Iâ�™m really worried.â�

I nodded my head. â�œIâ�™ve never saw her cry before either. Did she just get back from the Juvie centre?â� He nodded his head. â�œI donâ�™t knowâ�¦um,â�

â�œThe only thing I can think of is Jessica. But she wouldnâ�™t like the idea of meeting her very much.â�

â�œDonâ�™t be so sure, Gee. They were both held at gunpoint, together and Emily is both of their friend also, Claire. So I think itâ�™s quite inevitable.â� I exclaimed.

Gerard nodded his head agreeing and he let me inside pulling out his cellular device on the way dialing in what I hope was Jessicaâ�™s digits. â�œJess, hey, yeah. Itâ�™s me Gee. Uh, umâ�¦Blair. Sheâ�™s crying. Yeah, she saw her. Did you? Why? Okay. Then never mind. Can you? Please? You need to see her. No, Bethany canâ�™t. Please? Thank you,â� and then he hung up.

â�œMaybe I should leave,â� I stated. â�œJessicaâ�™s coming over and I donâ�™t want to stir up anything. She hates meâ�¦Iâ�™m sure.â�

â�œJess doesnâ�™t hate you. She doesnâ�™t hate anyone really. Maybe she just dislikes you a bit,â� Gee frowned saying. â�œWe should both go let them clear things up. Letâ�™s just go for lunch.â�

I gasped. Well, probably not in realityâ�¦hopefully I didnâ�™t. That would be major embarrassing. â�œY-yeah, sure.â� I agreed automatically.

â�œBlair sweetie,â� Gee called and he led me upstairs to the library room. She was lying in a pile of large ancient reading articles and thin rabbit-coloring novels. It looked very unusual. â�œThis is horrible,â� he whispered to me. â�œJessica is coming.â� Blair stopped crying abruptly but she didnâ�™t say a rude comment or anything. She silently got up from her pile of books and walked to the next aisle and threw more books on the floor falling into them. â�œWeâ�™re going to leave,â� he said kissing her on her forehead and she nodded.

It was perfect timing because right when we got out of the door Jessica showed up.
â�œIs she in there?â� She asked quietly. We both nodded her head and in about ten seconds, not even enough to get to our cars we could hear Jess bawling. So we knew we left those two in the right hands.

Gerard and I took different cars because he came in his Chevrolet earlier so we just went into ours. We were going to go to Polar Palace an ice cream place nearby our home but we wanted to go for lunch. Iâ�™m not bragging or anything but we went to a very expensive steakhouse called The Keg. It was way better compared to the ice cream place and it was so nice inside. Nice flowing white lights went around the restaurant. But the waiters were veryâ�¦hot. No, it was like all girls and they were all 20 Newport young step momâ�™s dating your 40-50 father.

â�œThis must be really hard on Blair,â� I started first making conversation. He nodded his head looking at the menu. â�œYour best friend wants to kill you and then your other best friend kills her. Did they find out why Claire wanted to like slaughter them?â�

Gee shook his head putting the menu down. â�œWell, they think Emily was apart of a gang thing or something and maybe Claire. But they found Blair and Jessica innocent because they thought they might be apart of it but there was ten bodies found dead. Seven unidentified men, Kevin Trohman, Spencer Chamberlain, Tyson Ritter and Claire Miller. They think Emily killed of them.â�

â�œWell, how stupid are they? Obviously she didnâ�™t. Sheâ�™s very small and skinny and I heard the guys were buff and Joeâ�™s Dad and Spencer and Tyson?! Sheâ�™s lucky she didnâ�™t get killed. I think there is no way she could kill ten big people. No. It just doesnâ�™t work.â�

â�œWell,â� he started.

â�œNo, she didnâ�™t do it. There is absolutely no evidence she killed any of them except for Claire.â�

â�œShe killed Claire! Thatâ�™s horrible! Thatâ�™s something nobody can forget! Iâ�™m glad sheâ�™s in Juvie I hope she gets sentenced murder and getâ�™s sent early to prison or house arrest or something!â� He replied rudely almost yelling his voice limiting the capacity of the room.

I looked down not replying and the waiter came with a sneer on her face, â�œKeep it down!â� Then her face became a happy smile again. â�œWhat can I get you two? Our lunch steak combo for two?â�

â�œHouse salad,â� I told her dully.

â�œSame.â� He said quieter looking down. She nodded her head taking our menuâ�™s giving us our coke we asked beforehand.

â�œSorry,â� I spoke quietly still my head facing away.

â�œNo, I should be. I shouldnâ�™t have got madâ�¦you could be right.â� I shook my head. We didnâ�™t say much after that it was just like a long moment rewinding and rewinding every minute and it never stopped. â�œSo school starts tomorrow?â� He tried to make conversation again. â�œAre you going?â�

I didnâ�™t reply thinking about it for a moment. We got a week break after what happened and the press got a hold of the story. I nodded my head and asked him, â�œYes, are you?â�

â�œWell, I think Sara will make us. She doesnâ�™t want any of us missing school. She doesnâ�™t get into the Newport Sun gossip does she?â� I shook my head grinning at the thought he smiled. I felt the warmth and then I felt comfortable again.

I nodded my head. We got our appetizers from the Russian waiter and I tried to keep up the conversation so difficulty I said, â�œAlice has been acting weird lately.â�

â�œDo you think something was going on with Blair?â� He started totally ignoring my statement.

â�œUmâ�¦? No.â� I answered awkwardly.

â�œWell, she seemed different at the Masquerade. I mean overall, she seems nicerâ�¦to anyone but Jessica that is well, was before all this occurred. What did the press say about Emily and Joeâ�™s father?â� Gee stated asking me too.

I shook my head thinking about it. There were so many different stories I didnâ�™t know what to make of it all. â�œThe major published story in the Newport Sun was that Emily was working in an undercover gang with a leader unknown. I guess Joeâ�™s father was a victim of the gang. He got scammed or something and Emily was making him pay. Then Claire was trying to save them but Emily killed her. But Emilyâ�™s defense is that she saved Blair and Jessica because they were held at gunpoint from Claire.â� I exclaimed the plot I read in Newportâ�™s newspaper.

â�œWell, first of all, Claire wouldnâ�™t hold her best friends at gunpoint.â� He said firstly and then after a long moment quickly continued, â�œSecondly, Emily â�˜sawâ�™ Claire kill Tyson and when she â�˜sawâ�™ Claire try to shoot Blair and Jessica she immediately thought it was vengeance of some kind which is outrageous because I know for a fact that Blair and Jessica wouldnâ�™t have done something that horrible to make their best friend almost shoot them!â�

â�œJust their theory Geeâ�¦â�

He prompted, â�œSo then what was going on with Blair beforehand, guilt of some sort? She left the Masquerade earlier when she won the queen spot. I was just standing their all by myself until Josh mentioned to me she left early because she wasnâ�™t feeling good and winning the queen spot at Madsen dances are really big to her and she wouldnâ�™t let â�˜being sickâ�™ bring her down.â�

â�œShe did mention her father was staying home a lot and spending a lot of time with her. Well, her mother on the other hand usually stays home always goes out and leaves to Los Angeles and San Diego. But she never said anything more of it.â� I disclosed.

Gerard did a small nod with a disorganized expression on his face. â�œThatâ�™s not like Frank to miss work. He hasnâ�™t missed work for a good ten to eleven years. Heâ�™s a famous lawyer and private investigatorâ�¦he never takes his mind of his cases.â�

â�œWell, Iâ�™ve only seen his once. When I went to pick up Blairâ�¦he did look disoriented.â�

â�œWe should go over there and see whatâ�™s going on with Jessica and her.â�

Aliceâ�™s P.O.V

â�œCan you two just talk? Everything is fine now. Iâ�™m back. Everything is all good. We can all go back to being best friends. You know like in the beginning?â� Hayley carried threw. She just wouldnâ�™t let Zac and I not be friends. â�œAh, please?â�

I rolled my eyes abiding, â�œWell, usually friends believe other friends.â�

I could tell Zac was resisting but he blurted out quickly, â�œUsually friends don't lie/push other friends in their pool.â�

â�œYouâ�™re kidding, right?â� I sighed loudly at Zac. This was definitely all his fault, I thought to myself.

â�œOKAY YOU GUYS,â� Hayley passed on the subject quickly continuing, â�œNo more fighting! I had enough. What exactly are you fighting over, me? Iâ�™m back. Itâ�™s over!â� Zac and I both started to mouth something but Hayley hushed us quickly. â�œFirst of all, Zac football season is over. You have volleyball season to worry about. Second of all, Alice there is no need to bring up the past.â�

â�œAND get overly aggressive!â�

â�œHA!â� I rolled my eyes and started to dispute.

â�œOverly aggressive?!â�

Hayley disputed, â�œSTOP! WHY DO YOU GUYS ALWAYS FIGHT?! Just slow down for a second and let me speak! Everything is over and down with!â�

â�œNO,â� I interjected and I stopped not knowing what to say and the words just slipped out of my mouth almost like I had no control over it, â�œYOU HAVE A BIG DRUG PROBLEM!â� Hayley paused her eyes patrolling up. â�œI mean, like we need to get through it. Together.â� I somehow hated Hayley at the moment but then I felt sorry for her too. I always hated Hayley since Zac and her started going out. It wasnâ�™t jealously or anythingâ�¦I donâ�™t think so. No, why would I be jealous? Zac is just my best friend.

â�œSO SHE BRINGS UP THE PAST!â� Zac screamed. It was so loud I had never heard Zac speak so loudly and so meanlyâ�¦not even to Josh. I went completely speechless and silent. I put my face into my knees and I started sobbing. I kept replaying his response over and over again. I could feel their eyes just watching me. â�œIâ�™m â�“ Iâ�™m,â� I could hear Zacâ�™s quiet footsteps coming fast toward me. Then I felt his arms move my upper body up and he squeezed me pulling me toward him sitting me down on his legs. I tried to break him off me but he wouldnâ�™t let go. I wrapped my arms around him too.

â�œItâ�™s okay Zacâ�¦â� Hayley said. I ignored her not letting him go. â�œShe needs to stop bring up the past.â� Her voice was annoying me. It was cutting into a pure spread of joy throughout my body. It was deleting the joy and making the happy consciousness start to release.

â�œIâ�™m sorry,â� Zac whispered. I slowly let him go with a smile and we both got up from the floor of the schoolâ�™s library. We both ran to the center of our distance and I jumped on him giving him a friendly bear hug.

â�œWe are never fighting again!â�

He grinned widely and agreed, â�œNever!â� I turned my head to see Hayleyâ�™s face and his reaction and Iâ�™m not even lying it was full of hatred. You made Hayley jealous! Ha, ha, ha, ha! â�œWe should go to the arcade!â� Zac celebrated.

â�œFree period should be over in,â� the loud bell rang through my voice. â�œNow...â�

Zac smiled widely. â�œThis is great! Now that we all are in the same P.E class! Itâ�™s so great you changed your schedule, Allie!â� I did a small grin. I hated P.Eâ�¦so much! Now with Hayleyâ�¦where did this hatred come from? She was just jealous because Zac liked me more. I smirked to myself at the thought.

We grabbed out text books. We were definitely all late but it was gym so we just had to change very fast. Hayley and Zac went one way (which worried meâ�¦for some reason) and I went the other running to our lockers quickly to put back our text books. They werenâ�™t running just chatting about God-knows-what. Why was I so mad? I mean itâ�™s not like we were fighting over Zac or somethingâ�¦I definitely wasnâ�™t jealous.

When I got to P.E class I could see Hayley and Zac giggling together and then they separated. I hurried into the girls changing room. â�œHayley,â� I said with basically a fake smile. â�œI am so glad that Zac and I got over our little fight. I wouldnâ�™t worry it was definitely not about you,â� I emphasized some words, definitely ticking her off. I continued, â�œI mean why we would fight over you? It was just some emotional things we were going through.â� I could see her facial expression change more then slightly. â�œItâ�™s what people do when,â� I thought of some more words to drive her insane, â�œthey are so close you know? Or maybe you wouldnâ�™t,â� I grinned widely, â�œIâ�™ve been best friends with Zac for a long time.â�

I quickly threw on my clothes in a stall and nudged her in the shoulder with a very wide smile. I love P.E!

I was stuck for awhile on Alice's P.O.V...like I couldn't decide who's P.O.V would be next and then like three days later I picked Emily and that didn't work out...and yeah. Sorry. Part 40 next!

Emilyâ�™s P.O.V

â�œMrs. Karen, our lawyer, thinks she can get you out on self-defense. Itâ�™s just so stupid youâ�™re in here. Canâ�™t they let us have you until the hearing?â� My mom rambled on. â�œFrank Vaness and Bakeryâ�™s are all going to hear about this! I could just imagine the press has a good copy. Listen, sweetie I need to tell you something a little unpleasant but you canâ�™t get mad, okay?â� I nodded my head. Iâ�™ll probably hear it anyway, I thought. â�œThe policemen at the scene suspect it was you that killed the two boys and Kevin Trohman. They think you were in some gang squad that came from Idaho.â�

â�œWhat?â� I felt tears run down my face. â�œHow could they think I killed them?â� I shook my head. â�œMom,â� I whispered, it didnâ�™t really matter if the social worker at my table heard me my voice was just too weak to carry on, â�œI saved Jess and Blair. Didnâ�™t they tell you that?â�

â�œSweetie,â� Jennifer (my mom) said quickly, â�œI havenâ�™t heard from Jessica or Blair.â� I cried more. â�œIâ�™ll come and see you when I can. Iâ�™m just so busy Emily itâ�™s hard to come visit you all the time in Juvenile Detention. I need to go hire a maid, take Amber to her ballet recital, and go pick your Dad up from the airport. I have to go though, sweetie, see you when I can,â�

â�œWait, did my Dad,â� but she had already hung up.

A small, petite lady walked in the barred doors. She had jet black, choppy, short-cropped hair and beetle eyes with bright red lipstick, a black pencil skirt and a white collar shirt. â�œMrs. Addison, there is visitor for Emily Morrison.â� My social worker (Mrs. Addison) nodded. â�œWould this be her?â� I nodded then. â�œCome with me, my dear,â� the lady was exceptionally nice making small talk. â�œYouâ�™ll only get 5-10 minutes for visiting hours. But Iâ�™m sure we could arrange more time later. Then Iâ�™ll get Stewart to settle you into a room.â� I nodded my head again.

â�œWho are they?â� I spoke quietly shaking.

â�œUm,â� she replied looking at a stack of papers she was holding in her hands shuffling them around repeatedly. She answered finally a particular white sheet of paper, â�œBlair Vaness, daughter of Frank Vaness.â�

She put in a room where all the other delinquents were. I could see Blair and her hair straightened and brushed down with a pearl black headband and a white leather coat and white pair of jeans that were skinny at the bottom.

â�œHey,â� I greeted her sitting down at a table and motioned for her to sit. I smiled but she just looked completely glum. â�œHi.â� I repeated.

Blair looked down awkwardly and shuffled with a stack of playing cards in her hands. She dealed a game of 31 and was silent for a bit until her mouth opened at she whispered quietly, â�œI donâ�™t know whatâ�™s good or bad anymore.â� Her voice almost got louder each word. â�œEmily, y-y-you saved m-m-me,â� Blair stuttered shivering, â�œY-y-you k-k-killed Claire.â�

I frowned unhappily. â�œNot you tooâ�¦I had to, Blair, I had to. I didnâ�™t want you and Jessica to die. She killed everyone. She killed Tyson. I saw her kill Tyson then hold you guys down at gunpoint.â�

â�œWhy would Claire try to kill us?â�

â�œI donâ�™t know,â� I spoke truthfully. â�œShe killed Tyson and she was about to kill you guys. Iâ�™m not letting that happening. Maybe she had an adrenaline rush or something and went too far.â�

â�œGuard, I want to go,â�

â�œPlease Blair,â� I pleaded, â�œYouâ�™re all I have left. My mom doesnâ�™t believe me! I can see her disgusted face every time she looks at me! I saved you!â�

Blair started to cry abruptly getting up, â�œI canâ�™t believe you Emily, I just canâ�™t right now. You and Claire are confusing me. I donâ�™t know what was going on. I just know you killed Claire.â� She looked down shamefully.

â�œShe was trying to kill you and Jess! I couldnâ�™t let her do that to you! She killed Tyson too! I donâ�™t know what was going through her mind, I just knowâ�¦I just,â� I stopped starting to cry too and the next words that came out of my mouth were the A.B.S.O.L.U.T.E truth, â�œI just know I didnâ�™t want to lose my best friends.â� I stated and cried heavily. I got up, knowing I had to whatever I could to make her to believe me.

Blair came around the table putting her arms around me and squeezing me and tears fell on my shoulder. A long moment later she removed them. â�œIâ�™ll come to your hearing.â� Then she walked away. I couldnâ�™t ask her anything else. She needed the answers more then I deserved or needed them. It hasnâ�™t hurt that much knowing I killed Claire Miller. But I think now it has finally kicked in. I wanted to ask Blair where Jessica was and if she was coming to see me but for some reason it seemed too greedy. I got Blair. I killed Claire, my best friend. I was lucky enough I wasnâ�™t already in prison. I was so lucky I was only sixteen going onto seventeen.

â�œHello, Emily, itâ�™s time to go see your room,â� the little lady spoke coming to greet me again and I already knew something.

This was going to be the worst time of my life I have ever had!

Anabelleâ�™s P.O.V

I already knew what had happened to Joeâ�™s father, sort of. I didnâ�™t bother to watch the news. The same thing happened to my father. He was shot. I definitely knew the vital signs.

â�œJoe, stop it, please,â� I pleaded quietly. He was shuffling around with his black tie. â�œMay I ask what this occasion is?â�

â�œDeath,â� he responded sternly making no eye contact. â�œMy father died.â� He looked away awkwardly grabbing something in one of the many show cases.

â�œSomebody shot him,â� I said truthfully and maybe a little more seriously then Iâ�™d hoped to take on which made Joe feel uncomfortable.

â�œMy ex girlfriend,â� he answered and sneered.

Emily Morrison?

Shut up!

My first intention was to start historically laughing but that didnâ�™t seem to fit in the situation. Then I ended up with, â�œEmily Morrison?â� I was pretty much speechlessâ�¦his ex-girlfriend killed his father? Maybe there was a secret affair of some kind. â�œThen you have no use for me,â� I spoke my voice quiet and cold almost sad.

I liked being kidnapped.

â�œWhat?â� Joe questioned with his eyebrows up. I didnâ�™t answer because I knew it was a question. â�œUh no,â� he answered, â�œyou are definitely staying with me.â�

â�œNo use, even I can see that. I could tell the whole world and all youâ�™d do is run away and come for piece by piece.â� I replied dully.

â�œIf I run away you do too. So just remember,â� he came out of the shoe closet coming close to the bed I was lying on (constantly) and continued, â�œWherever Iâ�™m going,â� he got closer, â�œyouâ�™re going.â� He cradled my face and watched my eyes closely. â�œI canâ�™t leave though. Theyâ�™d understand and theyâ�™d be too prepared when I, we run away and I theyâ�™d keep a close eye on me and Iâ�™d have to keep a close eye to him.â�

I stopped. â�œYou honestly want to run away your whole life? You donâ�™t take anyone elseâ�™s feelings into consideration? I like you and everything Joe I just canâ�™t run forever.â� I stopped again knowing I slipped some things outâ�¦a big thing.

â�œYou do?â� Thatâ�™s all he cared about and all his ears wanted to hear. He grinned. â�œWell, weâ�™re not running away. We definitely have to take trips every now and then but donâ�™t worry about anything else.â�

â�œLos Angeles?â� I tried. He shook his head. â�œHow are you so calm with all this? Isnâ�™t it a bit too overwhelming? Would your Dad want you to keep me on a lockdown?â� I asked frequently.

His expression changes almost every few seconds usually solemn, smirk or a smile. â�œNo, he wouldâ�™ve demolished you all ready.â� Joe smiled with his teeth so Iâ�™m taking that was just dark humor.

â�œDemolished? Thatâ�™s a really aggressive term.â�

â�œWeâ�™re going to Palm Springs,â� he ignored my question starting on something else. â�œMy dad booked out a hotel room for the three of us and probably you,â� he smiled, â�œso I told my mom I needed to get away for a bit. You know like stop talking about my Dad?â� I nodded my head.

â�œYes, sorry. I just like to know thingsâ�¦â�

â�œIâ�™ve noticed.â� Joe smiled not bothering to look at me. He accelerated to 90 and it bothered me. I hated his driving. He went too fast and it always made me feel sick after a car ride and we usually go out of Orange County or outside of Newport. â�œIsnâ�™t this hard for you?â�

â�œWhat?â� That was a dumb questioned.

Then he was silent and I realized the conversation had dropped. He put on some quiet Debussy and we were pretty quiet the rest of the way. I slept on and off. Joe didnâ�™t tell me when we were here I just realized it because he ended up picking me up over his shoulders and laying me in a very comfortable bed. Then I was definitely unconscious after that.

â�œWake up,â� he whispered. I opened my eyes abruptly to find Joe lying right next to me holding my face so he could analyze it somehow. â�œI made salad and pasta. But you look very tired. I should just,â� He got up.

â�œNo, please stay here? I had a nightmare,â� I interrupted. â�œPlease?â� I pleaded. He laid back down beside me putting my arms around his waist. I didnâ�™t really know what this was. We were friends. Even though I confessed something to him but I donâ�™t know what he thought it meant. Like the friend way or the other way? I was too tired to ask any other questions I just nestled my head in the middle of his shirt burying it underneath the blankets.

â�œGood-night,â� he kissed my forehead and I defiantly fell asleep after that. Yes, I liked Trohman.

â�œHi,â� I rolled my eyes. â�œIâ�™m not supposed to be talking to you.â� I chuckled at Jessica. She squinted her eyes. â�˜Huh,â�™ she said dully. â�œYou AND Blair have been getting on my nerves lately.â�

â�œClaire, I am just trying to ignore Blair and stuff and I donâ�™t see how you and Emily should be involved with our fights because Blair has obviously taken this way too far. She told to Gerard that he had to make Josh break up with me! Well, she failed!â� She shot.

I sighed. â�œI donâ�™t want to hear about it. You guys are so annoying. Emily has been getting on my nerves too. She thinks Iâ�™m somehow afraid of Spencer Chamberlain. Seriously, what is up with that?â� I just walked away after I responded to her petty comment.

I felt a breath on my neck I stopped annoyed. Sorry, Jessica I just donâ�™t want to deal with Blairâ�™s and your bullshit right now, I thought to myself.

â�œHello, Claire,â� a whisper warmed my back and ear. I turned around suspiciously. It wasnâ�™t Jessica. â�œYou look frightened.â� Spencer. What brilliant timing?

â�œIâ�™m not,â� I sneered.

He nodded his head. â�œOkay then?â� Now he was uncomfortable. I thinkâ�¦he was invincible, emotionally. â�œSorry, did I catch you at a bad time?â�

Spencer nodded his head. â�œRight, youâ�™re right,â� he turned me around putting his hands around my waist.

I hope to God a hotel room.

My conscience kept pulling me different places. Nevertheless, I let Spencer do it all. Oh and I did end up in a hotel room.

â�œSo you,â� he spoke quietly, â�œare,â� through kisses, â�œscared of me.â�

I giggled denying, â�œNo, thatâ�™s what everyone thinks.â�

A big bang came our eyes shot open. The only thing I could think of was, â�˜Jessica or Blair.â�™ They couldnâ�™t see me â�“

â�œARE YOU CLAIRE MILLER?â� A menacing voice spoke. It was a large man, African-American with a black mask over him. I looked at Spencer and stupidly he nodded his head. I hit him lightly on the head giving him a what-the-hell kind of look. The guy ran over grabbing my hardly on my forearm but then picked up me and put me around his shoulder.

â�œHEY!â� I could hear Spencerâ�™s voice. â�œTHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?!â� The man carrying me roared grabbing Spencer by the neck almost dragging him.

I couldnâ�™t see anything for the next half hour. It was mostly all darkness. I just know Spencer had a tight grip on me. His arms were cradling me. We were in a storage closet or somethingâ�¦Iâ�™m not even sure.

A light came on abruptly and it hurt me eyes and I rushed into Spencer chest hiding my face away.

â�œWell, isnâ�™t this cute. Fairly annoying though donâ�™t you think? I thought the parents in Newport Beach were quite drama-filled but these teenagers. Oh wow.â�

â�œWhat are you talking about?â� I heard Spencer mumbled. I got pushed by a strong hold and I opened my eyes adjusting them to the bright light. We were in a storage closet. The menacing man who took us before had Spencer by both arms.

A ringtone came on it was Spencerâ�™sâ�¦it was ringing when we went into a hotel room. The man talking to us (it was so bright I couldnâ�™t see him very well) had his immediate attention to the cellular device.

â�œItâ�™s Tyson!â� Spencer yelled. He stopped, knowing immediately he shouldnâ�™t have said anything.

â�œThank you.â�

I didnâ�™t even hear the noise. It was too much for me too handle. I just know I immediately started sobbing quietly.

â�œWell, heâ�™s gone,â� the man said. Spencer he was deadâ�¦ â�œAnswer the phone. Why donâ�™t you talk to this Tyson guy for us, Miss Miller?â� I didnâ�™t even ask how he knew me nameâ�¦he definitely had his ways.

I grabbed the cell phone and I freaked out I didnâ�™t know what else to say. I just screamed telling him that Spencer was deadâ�¦calling the police. It was the most stupid thing I have ever done. I told him I was in a storage closet and he said he was comingâ�¦and I think they wanted me to do that.

â�œExcellent.â�

How did they even know what he was saying?

I continued to sob right after that. I couldnâ�™t handle just sitting there watching Spencerâ�™s dead body lay on the floor. Dead. He was dead. I couldnâ�™t even grasp the meaning. Spencer Chamberlain was dead. â�œWhy are you doing this to me?â�

â�œOh were not. I believe your friends Jessica White and Blair Vaness did it, they are your friendâ�™s right?â�

â�œWhat do you mean?â�

The man chuckled coming out of the only darkness in the room and my eyes didnâ�™t need to adjust to the image.

It was Joe Trohmanâ�™s father.

â�œTheyâ�™re just pretty greedy and disrespectful teenagers arenâ�™t they, Claire? You know the missing girls on the news Anabelle Hurley and Mischa Barton? Mischa Barton was found dead if you didnâ�™t read in the newspaperâ�¦if you even do read.â� Mr. Trohman chuckled to himself. â�œThey both killed her. What a tragedyâ�¦and Mischa is somehow connected to us,â� he implied the large guys all around him, â�œwe were trying to get Hayley Williams but my son did some mistakesâ�¦you know him right, Joe? I believe you dated his best friend.â� He smiled showing his teeth and then continued, â�œBut we didnâ�™t get Hayley Williams because Jessica White and Blair Vaness killed Mischa and let Hayley go. Let out some bad news to the press. They connected you to the situation and I really wouldnâ�™t like to do this,â� he ruffled with something shiny that reflected in the mirror. It was a knife. I didnâ�™t even need to see it.â�

â�œCLAIRE, ARE YOU IN THERE?!â�

Mr. Trohman smiled. â�œRight on cue,â� he agreed to some guys comment.

I didnâ�™t say anything but I got made to squeal a yes and tell him nobody was in here.

â�œIâ�™M COMING IN!â� A man slowly stepped to the door opening it for him. â�œI COULDNâ�™T CALL THE POLICE THE RECEPTIONIST SAID THE LINES WERE DOWN AND THE RECEPTION ON CELLS DONâ�™T WORK ON THE BEACH SOMEHOW!â� He hollered.

â�œDo you know him?â� Mr. Trohman said and the African-American menacing man grabbed Tyson and Tyson looked at Spencer and I started crying. His faceâ�¦I could never forget it.

â�œThereâ�™s someone outside the door,â� some man panicked sort-of.

â�œWell, look!â�

The man followed the instructions and looked outside but came in unsuccessful and I there was my shot. I grabbed the gun that was unoccupied from the menacing man that went to look outside. Stupidity. I aimed it at Mr. Trohman and I shot it. I didnâ�™t think about it at all. I just did it. The sense of power and adrenaline ran through my weak body.

Surprisingly, none of the other man had any other weapons. I aimed it all of them. Tyson looked completely shocked and his cries stopped. â�œLeave, all of you. Your boss is dead. You all know now what Iâ�™m capable of.â� None of them listening but I shot them all. Except for the one who was holding Tyson? He left very scared. He was skinny one anyways.

â�œClaire, youâ�¦â�

â�œShut up,â� I interjected. â�œStay right there,â� I had the gun aimed at him as he dropped to the ground.

â�œClaire I have been looking all â�“ what are you doing?â� Blair.

â�œClaire I canâ�™t believe â�“ Blair â�“ wait â�“ Claire? What are you doing?â� Jessica.

â�œIâ�™m going to have the most fun time of all.â�

â�œWhat are you doing?â� Jessica asked backing away grabbing Blairâ�™s arm. â�œWhat are you doing, Claire?â�

â�œYou know what you did,â� tears dropped down in my eyes.

â�œHELP!â� Tyson squealed from the room. I held up the gun in the storage room and I shot him. Then I put the I put my hand up holding them both at gunpoint. Tears fell but I knew what I was doing.

Bang. A big jolt of pain shot through me, dark red blood splattered to the all over me and I fell to the floor. The only image I could see wasâ�¦Emily with a gun in her hand.

Katelynâ�™s P.O.V

Thump. I ignored it. Thump. Thump. I turned around shifting my eyes to the windowpane. I saw Peteâ�™s dark eyes in the dark background of the trees and vibrant sunset.

â�œKatie, come out,â� his whisper radiated.

I got up from my desk (browsing on my laptop) to the window and stood their silently looking at him unbearably and then opened the hatch quietly. â�œUmâ�¦Pete, what are you doing here?â�

â�œI want you to come to the Halloween dance.â�

His voice tore out a ringing questionnaire in my mind. Then I felt like I didnâ�™t hear him clearly and shook my head. â�œWhy?â� I questioned feeling it was obsessive need to.

â�œUm, no answerâ�¦â� he scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. â�œCan you just come, with me?â� I looked at him blankly and then shook my head automatically. â�œPlease, Katelyn? We might as well goâ�¦â�

â�œI canâ�™t Iâ�™m â�“ Iâ�™m not aloud.â�

â�œWhat? Wait why not?â� He asked his eyes squinting.

â�œAnd anyways, I canâ�™t go to the Masquerade. I just donâ�™t belong there. I havenâ�™t even been to one since grade nine.â� I continued. â�œAnabelle is missing and my parents donâ�™t want me to be missing and you know my mother suddenly just disappearedâ�¦they suspect things.â� I exclaimed more clearly.

â�œPlease just come with me,â� he pleaded. â�œHavenâ�™t you ever snuck out before?â� I didnâ�™t reply. â�œItâ�™s easy. Just slowly come out of the window.â� I sighed. â�œCome here,â� He instructed and I just stood there. â�œPlease?â� and his eyelids turned liquid and his face stopped sighing down.

â�œYes, ok, ok, fine.â� I finally agreed and a smile rose from his face and I couldnâ�™t help but smile back.

He stopped lying down so he could look at me more clearly. â�œIâ�™m very persuasive as you can see so weâ�™ll do this the other way I didnâ�™t intend to do. How about you go get dressed and Iâ�™ll meet you at the doorway.â�

â�œGet dressed? At the main doorway?â� he nodded his head leaving me to it. I looked down at my navy-colored jean-ripped shorts and tank top. â�œI donâ�™t even have any costumes!â�

First instinct: Anabelle. Nope. Second instinct: Beth or *Bethany. Nope. Third instinct: I donâ�™t even have a third instinct.

â�œKatie, dear, someoneâ�™s at the door,â� Andrea said almost quietly so she wouldnâ�™t wake up Chris. â�œYou know youâ�™re not aloud to have friends over. So why are you inviting company?â� Then I could hear Peteâ�™s persuasive voice twist and I ran into Andrea and Chrisâ�™s room (Chris fell asleep in the guest room â�“it had the most comfortable bed-). I ended up not going as anything just wearing a short cropped black flimsy dress and she had matching black heels to go with it. I didnâ�™t feel too good about going into Anabelleâ�™s room and taking her white mask for the Masquerade because she was planning it for awhile. I peeked through the corner and I could see a small connection between Andrea and Pete and he saw my eyes peeking and smiled. â�œYou can go outâ�¦â� she rolled her eyes. I smiled running down the glass staircase.

â�œThank you, thank you,â� I kissed her forehead grabbing Peteâ�™s hand. He laughed. â�œThat didnâ�™t take very longâ�¦you are persuasive.â�

â�œWell, I did get you here,â� he chuckled agreeing. â�œI might say you look veryâ�¦ravishing?â� I giggled. â�œSorry I was trying to be a gentleman.â� I rolled my eyes with a small smile.

He was literally a dream.

My hand was clasped in his and neither of us bothered to let go. I donâ�™t know how sudden or fast this was but we both seemed to let it go. It all started with a small party I got dragged in to by Anabelle and Andy with a little help from Beth and Gerard after Gerard coaxed her into it and then Rochelle I think made it really happen although I needed to find out answers but she left. â�œSoâ�¦is Claire going?â� He nodded his face turned into almost a solemn expression but it soothed into a calm sincere one. We were in the car by this time. It was a very nice one but the attractiveness wasnâ�™t concerning me.

â�œDonâ�™t worry about her. Sheâ�™s the past. I literally do not know why I dated her. There is nothing to herâ�¦you know I just got made into it. She was apart of the Blair-Jessica-Emily thing going on and most of my friends having dated all of them so I was pressured into dating Claire. It was terribleâ�¦â�

â�œSo why did she break up with you?â�

His eyebrows furrowed up and his eyes immediately squinted quickly questioning, â�œWhat? What do you mean? I broke up with her.â�

â�œThatâ�™s not what she said to everybody. â�˜I just couldnâ�™t take his constant jealousness. It was especially cheesy when he kept constantly crying after. He just wouldnâ�™t stopâ�¦â�™â� I quoted her.

â�œI broke up with herâ�¦for reasons that are seriously obvious.â� I nodded my head and by that time we knew that this conversation was over.

He started with a new topic but it seemed to not come over all the tension in the (I think black or dark grey) car. â�œI really shouldnâ�™t be going to this thing. Iâ�™m not really liked by everybody. Blair, Emily, now Beth and especially Claireâ�¦â�

Pete chuckled the corners of his lips turning up into a small smirk or grin. â�œForget about themâ�¦you look beautiful.â�

â�œI know you told me,â� I touched his nose giggling he laughed. I remarked, â�œAnd you are looking very handsome, Pete.â� I giggled again. We pulled up at the Harrison Hotel. â�œAnd now were here,â� I sighed quietly but he heard it.

â�œItâ�™ll be fine. If things get badâ�¦weâ�™ll go to Starbucks or stay on the beach away from the drunken teenagers. But you know the beach might be pretty packed.â� It was only 6 and people were piling on the beach, mostly boys. We went into the hotel and there was way, way, way more people then on the beach in front of the hotel. I didnâ�™t know who any of the girls wereâ�¦hence the mask idea. But most revealed when talking to me because I didnâ�™t bother to put mine ownâ�¦Pete already knew what I was wearing. â�œI saw Josh outside Iâ�™m going to get him and ask where everybody is. Iâ�™ll be right back, donâ�™t be so tense.â� He smiled and fingers slipped away from me and he took off his jacket part of his outfit and now he just wore navy-colored jeans and a brown shirt on. All the other guys were wearing tuxedos.

Blairâ�™s P.O.V

â�œSheâ�™s here,â� Bethany whispered. â�œShe took off her mask and sheâ�™s not wearing it.â� I nodded my head calmly looking around. â�œOver there,â� Bethany pointed out. I saw her. The long technically frizzy hair and not pretty blue eyes and she were wearing the most grotesque dress ever. Seriously, brown? Shit brown? It went up too high. Her knees seriouslyâ�¦she couldnâ�™t even pull it off. Claire did flawlessly but not her nope not herâ�¦she was annoying me so much. Her shoes were seriously two monthâ�™s ago Marc Jacobs. Trust me anyone with REAL fashion would know that.

â�œShe should get a better dress if she wants to be someone,â� I remarked rudely. Bethany and a low monotone Claire chuckled.

â�œOh just ignore Jessica, Blair. Donâ�™t even look at herâ�¦â� Emm spoke coming from behind a bunch of jocks on the football team celebrating their winning season. Nobody was really into football anymore now that volleyball season was starting which was way bigger in Newport Beach because of all the volleyball netted beaches.

I got around to all parts of the lobby and they had NO Tea. I ended up yelling to Rayna and Rheagan about it but they understood why I was so mad, really.

Two large hands came and covered over my face and my immediate reaction was a terrified one and I ended up throwing them off of me immediately. I turned around looking at whoever it was fiercely. â�œOh hi, Gee, sorry.â�

â�œOuch,â� he winced.

I pecked him lightly on both sides of his cheeks and then on his lips. â�œSorry Gee I seem over-paranoid. I thought Jessica had nobody to go with you know since her and Josh got back together. It seems she came along.â�

â�œWell, actuallyâ�¦â� I looked at him puzzlingly and I squinted violently. â�œJosh didnâ�™t break up with herâ�¦â� My eyes widened and he stopped me before I could react putting his hand on my curly brown hair softening it. â�œYes, I know you wanted them badly to break up but I think you just need to let whatever you two are arguing about go. Itâ�™s petty and foolish and my little Blair can do better.â�

â�œSo then Gee are we getting a hotel room together tonight?â� I changed the topic. He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly and mumbled a low, â�˜Umâ�¦â�™ I continued, â�œSo I wouldnâ�™t be getting in my business. If you change your mind you can text me!â� I walked away angrily pushing through anybody who got in the way until I finally got to someone strong enough to knock me over.

That pushed me over the limit. â�œSorry, I am so sorry,â� I heard a voice mutter.

I jumped up looking around so no one saw and thank God the music was too loud and I, Blair have finally not caused a big commotion. â�œSERIOUSLY, YOU CAN REALLY HURT-,â�

â�œOf course itâ�™s you,â� he rolled his eyes. Frankieâ�¦ â�œYou shouldnâ�™t be pushing into people like that! Literally, Blair you are just asking for it!â�

â�œWell, you shouldnâ�™t push people back then! No, Iâ�™m having a bad day and itâ�™s Halloween and I donâ�™t need to get bumped into so hardly!â�

A hard voice spoke, â�œMaybe you should both shut up,â� and I stood beside Frankie looking up at a huge, muscular Security Guard. He pointed toward the lobby doorway. â�œOut, now! Both of you!â�

â�œBUT Iâ�™M BLAIR VAN-,â�

He interjected fiercely, â�œI DONâ�™T CARE WHO YOU ARE! GET OUT! NOW!â�

I sighed quickly walking out through the lobby door and I could hear feet thumping behind meâ�¦those annoying little footsteps.

â�œGOOD GOING IDIOT! YOU KICKED US OUT!â� I hollered my voice now louder outside. It was somewhere around 8 now and there was still a bit light the sunset almost gone.

â�œI GOT US KICKED OUT? YOUâ�™RE THE ONE WHO STARTED THE YELLING!â�

I pushed him more, â�œYEAH RIGHT LIKE I DIDNâ�™T HAVE A REASON NOT TOO!â� He rolled his eyes his eyebrows completely furrowed together and his face fire red and his eyes shot daggers. â�œYOU THINK YOUâ�™RE SO SMART BUT REALLY YOUâ�™RE JUST THIS GAY EMO KID FROM A RICH FAMILY!â�

I stopped. His eyes stopped looking at mine and he looked down abruptly. â�œWait, what?â� I questioned confused.

I should envy you.â�

I could see in his eyes he was throwing fake words at me. â�œTell me, please,â� I said almost begging but my face and voice was completely calm, serious and a little bit off guard.

â�œI am sorryâ�¦really,â� he spoke promising.

I nodded my head. â�œMe too, you arenâ�™t emoâ�¦thatâ�™s just a stupid label. You are smart tooâ�¦really smart. If I didnâ�™t have you for a Biology partner my life would be over.â�

â�œMore,â� he smirked.

â�œHey, youâ�™re talking to me here that am very nice for somebody like me.â� I laughed and he did his chuckle but it wasnâ�™t as weird and light as before. He sat me down on the sand. â�œCan Iâ�¦can youâ�¦what do you mean?â�

He mouthed something but then snapped it shut. â�œI just nothingâ�¦actually I think I should start leaving. I promised my parents I would do this thing. I will umâ�¦bye.â� He said getting up quickly waving good bye with a worried grin and I couldnâ�™t get anything out by then.

I opened up my cell phone. â�œHi, Beth? Yeah, leaving now. Tell Gee Iâ�™m not mad at himâ�¦just I have to go.â� I called a cab quickly after leaving back to my empty house. It wouldâ�™ve been easier to have my car. But I thought I would be drinking. Well, that didnâ�™t happen, did it?

I woke up. My head was spinning. It was always spinning! I couldnâ�™t grasp it all stillâ�¦yet. I had a million questions to ask. But if I asked them it seemed as though I wouldnâ�™t get answers. Joe was the only lead I had.

â�œI need to leave this room. Itâ�™s getting insane.â� I told him shaking my head pulling out my ponytail. â�œI keep having headaches.â�

He nodded his head agreeing, â�œOkay.â� I looked at him confusingly and my expression was all I needed to say. â�œYou could have just asked.â� Joe chuckled again.

When I thought I had a moment to run away I could see his shadow darkening mine. He chuckled seeing my expression. â�œPerhaps, youâ�™d like some coffee?â� He tried. I nodded my head carefully grabbing the coffee he armed me. I wasnâ�™t about to touch his hot fingersâ�¦Iâ�™ve been through that before. His hand went over my forearm where my white wool sweater was so I didnâ�™t feel his fingers or anything.

We were walking somewhere through the hot air of California. He wasnâ�™t being careful. We were in public walking together so at any moment somebody (police) could come up and shoot him and take me to a much safer place but he didnâ�™t seem to be cautious. His interest was on the beautiful blue ocean as we were walking by the road and bridge. â�œLetâ�™s go swimming,â� he decided looking down below from the bridge. â�œIâ�™ll meet you there.â� He smiled looking down below. â�œOr do you want to jump with me?â� He offered. He was going to jump into the water. It was like he was almost giving me the chance to run away.

â�œWhat do you mean?â� I basically understood clearly so there was really no need in asking.

â�œIâ�™m jumping in. You can go around the bridge.â�

But no matter how much I wanted to run away from him (because I could at any moment) my body wouldnâ�™t let me. I had to stay with him. Itâ�™s almost like he knew I wouldnâ�™t leaveâ�¦ â�œUmâ�¦â� he chuckled. Then Joe started to stand on the bridge top. He bent down and put his hands around my waist pulling me up beside him on the bride top. I overlooked the ocean below me.

â�œAre you sure?â� He tried but he already knew the answer. I didnâ�™t even bother replying. He clasped his fingers between mine and then we both let our feet slip. I couldnâ�™t feel his hot fingers on mine when we fell into the water. It was a split second we could feel the air against our skins. It felt almost amazing to be free. Even though I wasnâ�™t really freeâ�¦basically trapped in Trohmanâ�™s world.

We both opened our eyes in the water looking at each other and you could see his smile clearly. He held both of my hands (intertwined in his) and we flew up breathing in air. I could here is velvet chuckle and he sprung my hands over his neck and I gripped it as he carried me through the water and into the shore and laid me on the sand. He was only wearing skinny pants (not jeans) and I was wearing a skirt so nothing heavy. He basically already saw my under garments (when I am wearing them and when Iâ�™m not). I sat up putting my hands over my knees and looking at the sand on my feet. Joe sat beside me looking somewhere else.

We both sat their on the dry warm sand looking at the pale blue sky and white-coated clouds. The sun went west leaving us to look clearly at the clouds. There was nobody really at the beach. No surfers or wake boarders just a family of four twenty yards away.

Joe and I sat their silently for a good ten minutes just lying down on the sand close together. Our hands were still clasped tight together (I wouldn't really let go of him). â�œLetâ�™s go,â� he picked me up and hung me around his back running. We went to back to Joeâ�™s red Nissan that we parked outside of Starbucks. It wasnâ�™t a far walk (he carried me anyways) just about four blocks. I didnâ�™t want to ask where we were going but it sort of frightened me when I saw the â�œExit Newport Beachâ� sign and I turned my head seeing, â�œWelcome to Newport Beach.â� We were going out of town somewhere. He was going pretty fast too.

â�œWhere are we going?â� I finally decided to ask.

He answered lightly, â�œLos Angeles, of course.â� Joe smiled laughing.

â�œIâ�™m not even going to askâ�¦â� I told him. He laughed shaking my leg and continued on the road.

He stopped speeding when we got out of Orange County. In small towns he sped just for the thrill. â�œSo ask me something,â� he told me quizzically.

â�œWhat do you mean?â�

â�œAsk me something,â� he spoke simply. â�œThere are probably a million questions you are dying to ask me. So ask me them.â� He saw my expression and continued, â�œEven though some donâ�™t require an answer.â�

â�œHow come Iâ�™m with you? How come I canâ�™t go home? How come were going to L.A? How come you let Hayley go and not me?â� I wondered (finally out loud).

I expected to hear a chuckle but he just grinned. â�œUmmâ�¦you have to be with me. You canâ�™t go home. L.A is better then Orange County. We tried to let you go but you basically came to me running back.â� He laughed after. â�œMore descriptive?â� I nodded. â�œWell, you have to stay with someone besides people you know or like,â� he laughed more, â�œso I wanted you. You canâ�™t go home because you know more then the rest. Mischa is dead (by accident donâ�™t be mad) and Hayley was released but she doesnâ�™t know anything. I feel like L.A today. Orange County has too much drama. Basically already answered question four and yeah, I just like swimming.â� He laughed more. â�œDo you have anymore?â�

â�œHow come Hayley, Mischa and I were even taken away? Why? Why did this happen to us?â�

He nodded his expression dead solemn. â�œLike I said before some questions don't recquire me to answer.â� I didnâ�™t reply. I left it at that. As much as I wanted an answer I knew he wouldnâ�™t answer.

â�œWeâ�™re here,â� he announced. We stopped at the most amazing house Iâ�™d ever saw.

It was glass.

It was all made of windows and glass. There was a big river in front of it full of big large fish that swam in them. They started to jump high (so I could see them). He carried me again through the house and everything was basically a neon orange and aqua. Joe put me down on the orange counter. He peered in the fridge and pulled out orange juice.

â�œSo weâ�™re just staying here? Donâ�™t you have school?â� I muttered.

He nodded his head in response. â�œYes, but the Halloween Masquerade isnâ�™t going to be that amazing.â� I looked down with a frown. That was the only thing I was looking forward to. â�œDonâ�™t worry Anabelle, it will honestly be the most horrible, boring thing Madsen would do. They have one every year. Besides, everyone goes to Tijuana today to meet some author guyâ�¦he wrote Hannibal Rising or something. I was barely there for half of the English classes.â�

I has more confidence now that Halloween Masquerade was going to be a total failure and I only just transferred to Madsen so little time ago so I wasnâ�™t supposed to do the whole Hannibal Rising thing in English class.

Our day mostly just consisted of lounging around. We did mostly everything together. Joe gave me a lot of freedom. Seriously, if I wouldnâ�™t to some how run away I would definitely be able to but I had this feeling that I just couldnâ�™t. I basically stayed with him throughout the day clinging to him at his every move. I helped him cook, clean and we watched a lot of T.V it was unbelievable. We critiqued everything on T.V and only settled for Infomercials. Joe and I were inseparable in the weirdest way. It seemed as though it couldnâ�™t be as any other way.

I had to stay with him, at all times.

Rheaganâ�™s P.O.V

â�œSoâ�¦I donâ�™t get it. I dress up in some fancy Kelvin Klein dress and then put a matching mask on so nobody knows itâ�™s me?â� Rayna tried.

I rolled my eyes. â�œNo. Yes. You wear a fancy dress and put on a mask to hide your identity and then you have to wait for your prince charming. But thatâ�™s only if you get through the trip today. You go to Tijuana then you can go to the Halloween Masquerade.â�

â�œSo this is at our Dadâ�™s hotelâ�¦the one right beside the beach. We could have a total party! Like hotel rooms for us all and then we can get like mega drunk at the beach and come back to them!â� It probably took her forever to think of thatâ�¦and I blamed myself for giving the time to make up her mind if it was excellent plot or not.

â�œCanâ�™t you just drop me off at the local club or something?â� Her voice trailed off looking away in the black Volvo.

I shook my head. â�œDad wanted us both to do this. Itâ�™s a very mind-changing experience, Rayna. You really need one. Maybe youâ�™ll get a life-changing experience thatâ�™ll do us all a favor!â� She rolled her eyes chuckling.

We were a bit late when we arrived to school but it was okay. It was Halloween today and it was a Friday so today was supposed to be a really good day. I did really like the Hannibal Lector series so I was pretty beat so meet Thomas Harris. But something inside of me felt numb.

I could see a bad picture on the front lawn of Madsen. (I could immediately spot out my â�˜posseâ�™). I laughed to myself of the emphasized word. Alice was clutching Bella tightly and Hayley was in between Alice and Zac. The two looked very annoyed at each other. Then Nicole was right beside Zac miserably talking to Patrick.

When I parked in student parking Rayna hopped out immediately running toward Emily, Blair, Bethany and Claire. Nicole and Patrick met me at the doorway entrance (by a numerous number of texts). Both looked severely pissed off.

â�œI never saw you after Raynaâ�™s party at your hotel! What happened?! I couldnâ�™t find James either. He better not be hurting you,â� Patrick challenged.

I giggled and I questioned what he meant. â�œYeah, I was â�“ we were trying to get a hold of you all weekend! I need to talk to you about Josh. Yeah, what happened to James and you after? You donâ�™t want to end up like I amâ�¦â�

I giggled again but this time at Nicole and Patrick. â�œNicole do not worry. We can defiantly talk and Patrick no, heâ�™s not hurting me. Weâ�™re actually just getting more serious.â� I responded.

They tried to talk but I immediately hushed them and we walked over to where Alice, Hayley, Bella and Zac were. I didnâ�™t even want to ask what happened to Alice and Zac because they were not obviously talking. Nevertheless, Bella ended up explaining the whole story to me and Hayley was just trying to talk to them both but nobody would say much to her.

All of the English students were waiting impatiently outside of Madsen on the front lawn in the courtyard everywhere. I was thanking God when the buses finally arrived. I ended up sitting with Nicole and Patrick the seat in front of us. I heard the whole story of Nicole and Josh getting locked in the closet. I thought it was all faith in someway. They canâ�™t just accidently get locked in. Not possibleâ�¦

Patrick was just too over-worried about James and me and for the most part of it I thought he was scared he was going to lose his best friend. He didnâ�™t trust James and I thought that was very rude but his morals were good in a way and I thanked him the very much that heâ�™d even think of the future.

As for James and meâ�¦I ended up making Nicole move up to Patrick so I could talk to my James. It was almost like all the times Iâ�™d talk to any of my friends just way more romantically involved. He made me a mixed tape and showered me in kisses the whole way there. When we were looking around Tijuana I was basically only looking at him. His short dark brown hair and smoldering pure green eyesâ�¦they were pretty breath-taking. It was amazing that I didnâ�™t buy an Orange Julius because if I didnâ�™t I wouldâ�™ve never met James. Oh and he quit Orange Julius. I told him I thought it was cute and he shouldnâ�™t have quit but he just laughed and said he was over it.

Anyways, the book convention wasnâ�™t that much fun. When we finally got to meet Thomas Harris I was surprised I didnâ�™t just fall asleep in Jamesâ�™s arms.

Thank God I didnâ�™t because Iâ�™d probably fail and who knows â�“ maybe not even go to the Masquerade. But overall, it was pretty much the worst trip ever.

Even though James is the most amazing guy I have ever met. We couldnâ�™t stop arguing over the silliest thing ever. He wanted an active sex life and I wanted intellectual relationship. He was still obsessing over the fact I wouldnâ�™t have sexual intercourse with him at Raynaâ�™s party. It was definitely the worst place Iâ�™d have my first time. He just didnâ�™t realize it mattered to me and I didnâ�™t want to have it in the worst place ever. Now he kept coaxing me to do it tonight in a hotel room. As he saw it was another chance to â�˜make him feel betterâ�™.

It wasnâ�™t time.
